What Makes Our COASTERS Different?
We created the saucers as an accessory to our line of plant care products.
WHO DID WE PARTNER WITH?
We partnered with a solid wood countertop company called: Canadian Butcher Block Company Inc. (CBB)
WHY THEM?
CBBC works with lots of wood. When they create a countertop or a tabletop, they must cut it to size, and this creates waste wood that they would normally throw into the trash. We thought we could come in and find a new purpose for that wood without cutting down more unnecessary trees. After that, all that was left was crafting each unique coaster. This is consistent with our vision and mission. That is why we say that our coasters are made from repurposed wood. We are trying to make the most out of the earth’s resources by not wasting any bit that we can use.
The coasters are made of Ash, Black Cherry, Hickory, Rock Maple, White Oak, Sapele or Walnut, depending on what wood is available. Not only that but they are torched to a one-of-a-kind style. That is why when you receive one of our handmade coasters, it’s always unique. To top it off, it is glazed, I mean varnished, with our very own soy-based varnish that brings out not only the natural beauty of the wood but protects it against wine, coffee, and other food stains.
USING NATURAL PRODUCTS, HOW?
This soy-based varnish was developed by our amazing chemist to bring out the natural beauty of the wood without being glossy. These saucers are the perfect touch for your plants giving them that rustic vibe.
A perfect gift to give anyone that appreciates a little rustic touch in a room.
