we are ready, are you? 🌷

The days are getting a bit longer and warmer. I don’t know about you but I’m anxious to get started in the garden! But it’s still a little bit early, at least in my Canadian yard. The ground is very soft and not completely thawed. It’s even too early to clean out the leaves from around the roses and other plants. The most that I can do is clean up the refuse that the wind blew in during the winter.

Still, there are things we can do to get ready. Last fall I took in from my garden a few geraniums. I simply undug them and put them into pots for the winter just because I really liked them and didn’t want them to go to waste. So it’s time to start getting them ready to plant outside again. I am feeding them with the seaweed fertilizer and making sure that they get lots of sun. I cleaned out the dead leaves and dead stems.

I also started to make sure that I have everything I need to start the summer. For example, make sure that my gardening tools are in good shape and that I have enough seaweed fertilizer and Liquid Mulch to get started.

At the office, we also started planting different kinds of flowers and vegetables so that once the nice warm weather is here, we can plant those little ones right away.
